Meet the Firms Preparation Workshop Series
Hosted by: Bruce Howard
Learn and discuss how to make successful use of our major career event, Meet the Firms. Prepare interview techniques, learn interview dress code, practice resume presentation, and more, to make great a first impression with the accounting firms attending Meet the Firms and other career fairs. Go over your resume, prepare your elevator speech and learn how to have a meaningful conversation with recruiters.

Meet the Firms Fall 2026
September 11, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM in the LBJSC Grand Ballroom
The Department of Accounting's largest accounting recruiting event of the semester. This event often features firms from all corners of the accounting industry, looking for promising interns and entry level candidates. Students are encouraged to treat this event as live interview preparation. Attendees should dress appropriately, in business professional attire, and bring copies of their resume. Industry & Corporate Accounting Job Fair
October 23, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on the McCoy College Building Main Floor
The Industry and Corporate Accounting Job Fair is designed to give students graduating with a BBA in Accounting exposure to employers that may be seeking entry level candidates for their open accounting positions. Prepare your resume, dress professionally and come meet representatives from a variety of industries to find your career launch. Register online to track event updates.
Department of Accounting Awards Reception
September 30, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the LBJSC Ballroom
The Department of Accounting Awards ceremony is an annual celebration of the top accounting students and all of their acheivements throughout the year. Please join us to honor their successes as we announce and distribute their various awards from this year. Refreshments will be provided.
