Faculty Staff Activities

Faculty, staff & student employees are busy between semesters & outside of classes

Ongoing work is done behind the scenes by faculty, staff, and student employees to assure we meet the needs of our students. In addition to teaching, faculty have scholarly research/publication expectations and service commitments. In the ever-changing field of accounting, there are also seminars and CPE courses needed to be able to share with our students the many updates in standards and technology along with maintaining our professional certifications. Staff members work year-round; they begin preparing for the next semester almost as soon as (or before) the current semester ends.

Graduate Assistants & Undergraduate Student Employees are Invaluable

Student employees are an integral part of the Department of Accounting. Often, an undergraduate employee is the face of the department because they are the first person to greet a visitor. They answer questions, give directions, and may provide connections to other sources of information. Graduate Assistants (GAs) support administrators and faculty by maintaining files, assisting with in-class proctoring of exams, and performing some research. The student employees also must remain dedicated to their own academic courses while maintaining their work schedule. We appreciate and respect all our student employees and want to say, "We could not do it without you."
